Walking with God
Over the years, humanity has observed a constant degeneration in the witness of Christianity to the world. A deterioration so glaring, it has caused a loss in our functionality as Christ’s body; making it difficult to detect the Ecclesia (the Church-called out ones) from the world (Field/Cosmos). It is equally disruptive to the church, when believers occasionally selfishly embrace the fallen nature of man by the types of activities we cuddle, which are reflective of a poor and desperately deprived spiritual lifestyle. We are tempted to reprove those around us who follow the patterns of this sphere but we can’t solely point fingers at these Christians, though they may be living an un-invested and uncommitted life in Christ. To attempt to reprimand these believers without tailoring ways where possible to sanction and hold responsible the affluent and spot-lighted teachers and preachers, who have customized a no pain all gain material gospel mind-set in Christendom would be amiss.
It has always been my conviction – if we simplify truth we will obliterate ignorance at any level and among any people. This has been the church’s mandate for the past two thousand years. We all have the right to choose our involvements and that I must say we do quite well; unfortunately the quality of our choosing is not always comparative to the value of our choice. Being born into this world, we gravitate to the laws of nature and are thrust into the Adamic Fall Influence (Adamic Nature) of which we exercise no preference. After choosing to be born again into God’s Kingdom, we are taught the tools needed to effectively produce the nature of Christ in us. These two natures will not co-exist in the interest of our spiritual, mental and physical well-being. One must dominate because we only have one throne in our soul (seat of emotions). Truly, the one that receives the most care will be healthier and stronger and consequently wins the award to have all decisions processed through it. Unfortunately, the interfacing of these two kingdoms in our lives has left hundreds of millions of Christians bewildered and the confusion has incapacitated their development in Christ.
New Christian must be taught how to interact with others within the church, especially the opposite sex. They need to learn maneuvering skills necessary within the Kingdom of Christ to be successful in their walks and relationships. Entering a country and remaining in the airport for the duration of one’s stay does not count for visiting that country. We must get out of the airport to behold the delightfully charming attractions of that place. Do not let history judge you as one stock at the entrance of the Kingdom of God, never allowing yourself to explore the vast oceans of revelation within the Kingdom here on earth. Discovering the awesomeness of God’s power will excavate the fullness of your potential and consequently enable you to see the possibilities of your life here in this dimension of time.
In chapter 7 of the book of Chronicles God said “If My people who are called by My name will humble themselves and pray, seek My face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land”. Again, we see the Father through the Son sharing a parable with His disciples about a sower in Matthew chapter 13: “Behold a sower went out to sow and as he sowed, some seed fell by the wayside; and the birds came and devoured them. Some fell on stony places, where they did not have much earth; and they immediately sprang up because they had no depth of earth. But when the sun was up they were scorched, and because they had no root they withered away. And some fell among thorns, and the thorns sprang up and choked them. But others fell on good ground and yielded a crop: some a hundredfold, some sixty, some thirty. He, who has ears to hear, let him hear”.
Farming is an old occupation that has been known to demand a lot physically from the ones who are occupied by it , and as a reaction farmers avoid where necessary, unnecessary work – wasting time and resources. Acknowledging that the farmer has brought to this task knowledge and experience, he has a fairly good understanding of the potential of the grounds in which he sows, coupled with the fact that he knows the ground holds the ability to cradle that seed into a gigantic and fruitful tree for the benefit of animals and humanity alike. Know – this is no ordinary ground, for this is a special seed. It is important to recognize at this juncture that the seed’s quality is impeccable and remained the same in all the categories of grounds mentioned above.
However, the preparation and cultivation of the ground of our hearts will by far determine the performance and success of God’s Work in our lives. Currently, humans are the only vessels use in service to God who has the ability to change their status and trajectory of their ground at will.
Example ground 1-Moses, while he waits on Jehovah becomes a shepherd tending sheep for forty years in the back side of the desert of Mount Horeb for his father-in-law Jethro the Midian Priest. Before entering the wilderness, Moses was schooled in all the philosophies of Egypt to be a source for himself if not the next Pharaoh of Egypt. He humbled himself before Jehovah and accomplished a resume that made him the most powerful man on earth in his day leaving folks in every generation who envied his success in God.
Example ground 2-David a young shepherd boy whose own father did not consider his ground kingly material during the most important meeting held at his house ‘the selection of Israel’s next King’. David rose from obscurity and became one of this world’s most prominent leaders who put Israel on the war-winners map in the face of her enemies. He was a well-loved and god fairing King who followed Jehovah’s lead to successfully serve his purpose in life. Are you willing to prostrate your ground before God and wait patiently, while obeying and following Jesus’ leading for the spiritual and overall success of your ground?
